ポケットモンスター パール

For those who don't have a clue what the title says: Pocket Monsters Pearl aka Pokemon Pearl.
I imported it from Japan just because I wanted to play it and I though it would be good for my Japanese learning [since everything is written in kana, which makes understanding a bit easier]

Anyway playing Pokemon is quite easy for me because I've been doing it for so many years already [since Red and Blue] and although I don't understand everything in Japanese I still know the game basics

After playing for a while I gave up on translating everything because the gamer in me took over [play now translate later ;) ]

The new controls during battles [because of the two screens on the Nintendo DS] are really easy to use and the graphics are really an improvement...
Another great thing is that you get your running shoes almost immediately [which really helps to speed things up]
Normally this game would be easier, [because it IS a game for kids after all] but I've decided to EV-train [special training dividing attribute points the way you want to] my pokemon right from the start, so that's really slowing me down.

Nice game, can't wait for the european release because I want my Alakazam :)

Gothic Kabbalah

I really hate doing this offline and uploading it later, but for a couple more days, I have to live without internet… After 3 weeks someone @ my ISP finally did something to fix my cable and my connection will probably be fixed on Monday or Tuesday [ABOUT F*CKING TIME, YOU B*TCHES!]

Tonight I went to see Therion in 013 [Tilburg] and this time I didn’t have to go alone, because there were four of us going [ I didn’t even have to drive :O ]. Support acts were Sabaton [which was quite happy music] and Grave Digger [less happy, as you can imagine by looking at the name]. I think I might download a bit of Sabaton to hear it recorded and I’ll probably skip Grave Digger because I found their music more of the same.

I didn’t know they now had 4 vocalists [2 male, 2 female] and I definitely have to check online for pictures how they look [cause I couldn’t see from that distance].
They mostly played new songs from their album “Gothic Kabbalah” except the song I was waiting for [ the title track for the new album :S ]. Maybe they played it on the last moment, but I was already gone at that time, so allow me to play that song now just for myself…

It wasn’t the best concert in the world, but it was worth my money and my time. Besides, I’m gonna see them again on both Graspop and Wacken :D

Internet

It's been a week since my computer at home had an active internet connection and right now I'm sitting at my grandpa's house again, just to be online :S

During the last two months of 2006, some people had to do some maintenance on the cables beneath the road and put in a few new ones since they're gonna build a whole new residential area behind my house [and a Mosque, but that's another story].
Anyway during their activities they obviously damaged our TV cable [which also functions as MY internet connection] and since they finished this [during Christmas], my internet has been terribly unreliable...
So after 3 weeks of mailing my ISP that I had a problem, someone FINALLY came last week to measure the connection -> conclusion: those diggers F*CKED UP our cable and now I'm sitting at my Grandpa's house on my laptop because the repairs will take up to 3 weeks[!!].

When someone is not paying his bills, they're always on the job immediately, but when someone has a problem, they just take it slow and let me wait while I fill up their pockets with my montly subscription fee :@
